SOLD
Went for a walk along the waterfront in downtown Kelowna and saw these seagulls congregating on the ice near the marina. It was a great day and kind of felt like spring.
I want to capture the little things that we often miss because we are too busy. It is in this that I find my challenges as an artist, to take everyday experiences and turn them into paintings. Hope you enjoy!
I'm a bit early posting this painting.

WEEK 7 - Winter Rest _Oil on Canvas - 10" x 10"
Sold to a private Collection
We have a bird feeder outside our kitchen window and we get lot of enjoyment watching the chickadees feed throughout the winter. I gave my daughter the task of naming this one and she calls it "Winter Rest".
I have been at this now for seven weeks and my days seem full as I explore new mediums and paint every day inspirations.
Thank you again for all those that have been supportive and encouraging. If you haven't yet left a comment please do so. I look forward to your responses.

This is a painting of a route that I will take when I go for a afternoon coffee. I call it The Shortcut.
I will have more paintings from our Mediterranean Trip, but for this month I will be doing some local inspirations.
I will be posting February's Painting of the Week on the 4th, 11th, 18th and the 25th of this month.
Be sure to also check out my ongoing Face off cartoon blog.
Thank you for following my Painting a Week Blog, your comments and emails are most encouraging.
