When we were in Venice last fall, we went to a masquerade party that was held on our ship. This is the venetian mask my wife wore, she had a dress to match, and I must say she looked stunning.
This painting not for sale This is for my great wife and the Mother of our children...Pam. Did you know that this was the hundredth anniversary of Mother's Day? I felt it was time to give a try at painting portraits.
NOT FOR SALE In this painting I was captured by the light lighting up the items in the room. My son stayed in this room for three months in Baku Azerbijan.
The journey of a "Painting a Week" has been kind of like a journal, painting from places I've been or painting as the spirit directs and reflecting on life's highs and lows. This painting "Rose" is dedicated to a man in our community who lost his wife two weeks ago. At the funeral, attendees were asked to bring a rose, I was unable to attend, but felt led to do this painting which will be given to her husband Alan.
In memory of Cathy Paeth, January 20, 1956 - March 29, 2008.
