WEEK 15- Rose -Oil on Canvas-10"x10"

The journey of a "Painting a Week" has been kind of like a journal, painting from places I've been or painting as the spirit directs and reflecting on life's highs and lows. This painting "Rose" is dedicated to a man in our community who lost his wife two weeks ago. At the funeral, attendees were asked to bring a rose, I was unable to attend, but felt led to do this painting which will be given to her husband Alan.

Thought I would play with a bit of still life. This painting reminds me of a well made caesar salad. The two key ingredients are eggs and lemon. Hope I've made you hungry.
